What does the workshop look like?

Knowledge Alignment

Participants present the scope of their work, priorities and goals that are set for their teams. These short summaries are aimed to generate discussions on common goals and interlocking areas of activity. Such alignment of knowledge allows participants to understand different viewpoints on similar issues and shared goals. They also provide a solid foundation for further workshop activities.

Identification of goals and challenges

The task of the workshop group is to define a long term goal that all teams within the organisation should strive for (e.g., “museum development,” “increasing the number of visitors,” etc.). The group also identifies the challenges that are most relevant from their point of view and together they try to develop ideas to solve them.

Early definition of goals and challenges helps to avoid wasting valuable time in later stages of projects. Many problems can be identified early on and thus effectively avoided. This general approach towards team collaboration consolidates the group and builds a sense of building common solutions and working towards a common goal.

Action plan

Focusing primarily on team communication, we emphasize the importance of efficient information sharing and the need to avoid information silos within individual teams. Based on the issues worked through, we present and recommend specific, proven solutions to help create effective communication channels.

Implementation and verification

The Lagom team also helps implement the solutions we recommend. On the basis of a “soft audit” (observation of the work of the teams, shadowing, etc.), we verify to what extent the solutions developed at the workshops fulfill their purpose. If necessary, we adjust the strategy or suggest other tools to make sure that the results of the workshop will be long-term.
